His background spans enterprise risk management, operational and fraud risk, information security, and insurance, with additional depth in ecommerce, fintech, and banking. That cross-sector experience means he’s seen how risk plays out differently depending on the business model, and he knows which frameworks actually work versus which ones just look good in a deck.
At Openfin, Nikhil leads one of the studio’s insurance broking ventures as Director and CEO. He’s not advising from the sidelines—he’s in the operator’s seat, building a business and navigating the same challenges that portfolio founders face every day. That hands-on role keeps his advice grounded in current reality rather than past playbooks.
